Serdang, September 19 - The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, through the Veterinary Sports & Recreation Club, successfully organized a program during the school holidays titled ‘Speak Yourself: Basic Public Speaking Module 1.0’. The participants consisted of children and teenagers aged 9 to 13 years. This program was the first of its kind organized by KSRV, aimed at providing early exposure to public speaking among children.
The opening ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Prof Dr. Goh Yong Meng, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UPM. In his speech, he expressed the commitment and support from the faculty management for organizing such events in the future. He also praised the efforts and collaboration of the committee involved in making this program a success.
The program was led by En. Md Nazim Razali Kanini, who also served as the facilitator and instructor. The cooperation from the program committee ensured the smooth running of the event, which began at 8:30 AM and ended at 4:30 PM. Activities included ice-breaking sessions, teaching techniques for public speaking, and group performances at the end of the event. Participants were also taken on a tour of the FPV Animal Anatomy Museum and given explanations about the specimens and the overall functions of the museum.

Participation was limited to 25 participants to ensure the smooth running of the program and provide more focus to the attendees. Due to the encouraging response for participation, this program is proposed to be continued in the future.
The closing of the program was officiated by YBrs. Prof Madya Dr. Intan Shameha, Deputy Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, FPV, who presented certificates and a special award for the best participant in the program, which went to Aliff Khaliq bin Fazril. It is hoped that the participants benefited from the program and filled their school holiday with meaningful activities and new experiences.
