PARASITOLOGY LABORATORY The Veterinary Parasitology Laboratory is responsible for handling samples or cases for diagnostic, teaching and research services. Our Laboratory provide services:   Identification of Endoparasites/Ectoparasites Fecal/Stool examination for helminth ova/gastrointestinal protozoa: Fecal Smear/Direct Wet Mount Simple Floatation Simple Sedimentation McMaster Fecal culture Blood examination for Blood Protozoa and Helminth: Direct wet mount Thin blood smear – stain/without stain Thick blood smear Knott Concentration Technique (KCT) Haematocrit Centrifugation Technique (HCT) Enumeration of Parasites-oocyst and ova Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) identification of parasite   To avail of our services, please submit your samples directly to the Sample Submission Counter, Veterinary Laboratory Services Unit Counter or contact our laboratory staff for more information.    Kindly refer to the table below for summary on specimens submission for this lab:
