SERDANG, 12 March – The Office of the Deputy Dean for Research and Postgraduate Studies organised the Bengkel Pemantapan Geran Eksploratori dan Transformatif (GET) KPT Tahun 2026.
The workshop was conducted as an initiative by the faculty to assist researchers in preparing their applications for the GET Grant 2026. The programme adopted a mentor–mentee concept, in line with the new grant submission requirements this year which mandate the appointment of a mentor for each application submitted by applicants in the Associate Professor category and below.
The appointment of mentors aims to enhance the quality of guidance, strengthen research proposals, and increase the success rate of grant applications. This initiative is also expected to support researchers, particularly newly appointed lecturers or those who do not yet have active research grants.
The workshop was attended by 23 lecturers, including six appointed mentors. This approach is expected to help refine research ideas, ensure methodological rigour, and align proposals with the expectations and requirements of evaluators.
