March 22, 2019 - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) received a total of 73 students who were accompanied by 7 escort teachers from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Dato 'Penggawa Timur Johor.

Students are given a description of the Veterinary Medicine Doctor (DPV) program, among which is a job that can be completed after completing a 5 year study at the faculty. DPV graduates can serve both government and private sectors, such as the UPM University Veterinary Hospital, the Malaysian Veterinary Services Department (JPV) Malaysia, government and private animal clinics, zoo and any pharmaceutical and animal vaccine companies.

They may also serve as Veterinary Officers in cattle and poultry farms, or Research Officers who conduct research on animal disease or animal farming at any government agency, statutory and private bodies. Graduates of DPV who are keen to enter the academic field, they need to pursue a higher level of master and / or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in any country around the world if they are successful in obtaining scholarships.

In addition to a description session on the veterinary profession, students are taken to the Animal Anatomy Museum at the faculty to see the animal skeleton used as one of the teaching materials for the Animal Anatomy Course taught in the first and second year in the Veterinary Medicine Doctor Program.
